Thousands of pounds returned

We’ve found the funniest and strangest things when we start to reupholster our client’s furniture, Martin Moore owner of Moores Reupholstery, you can even drown in the emotions that rise up from a find.

We recently returned a wedding ring to a client, lost by his wife 5 years earlier and although they had retraced her steps turning the whole house upside down, the ring had been apparently lost forever; or so was thought until we started work on their sofa. We returned the ring and found that his wife had passed away a couple of years previously, but seeing the ring again gave him a bridge back to his wife, albeit fleetingly. Reupholsterers for over 60 years means that we have returned countless thousands of pounds worth of finds but this was the most precious.
